*First off I want to make it clear that I am in no way being paid or compensated for this review. This is written out of pure love and appreciation for some products I have fallen in love with.
When I was in my 20's, I was a hair stylist. One thing I was taught in Beauty School..facials, facial massage and basic skin care. When we'd have some free time in class we would play "make-up" and enjoy getting all dolled up and trying new brands of make-up, new looks and always new hair styles. After school was over, I worked in a shop for about one year. In between those times, I married Shan. In school, the chemicals never bothered me, but something in my body was changing. My hands would swell up and turn red and I had no idea why. My doctor quickly told me I was allergic to the chemicals I was putting on folks hair and that I needed a new line of work. I tried wearing gloves and I just couldn't work as quickly and do things like I wanted too any longer because of the allergy. I still cut my kids and hubby's hair, but for the most part, my career ended right there.
For years I used Clinique make-up and facial cleansers. They are pricey and they don't honestly have all natural ingredients in them. I'd go cheap often and just us whatever make-up was on sale. I do enjoy make-up and wearing it when I go out on the town with my hubby. During the week, I'm not into wearing much, if any. When I hit 40 this past year, I became more concerned about facial skin care and what I was or WASN'T doing about it. Sometime in the last year and a half my face went from clear to troubled waters. For someone who's not had much of problem with my face, even as a teen, this was a bit annoying. We've known I have some food allergies, but those are still a guess. I'm doing some testing soon for that. Here is what my face often looked like in the past year and a half. This is not a great photo and I was just documenting it on my phone. I wish I had used my Nikon for clarity. My forehead was especially a red and bumpy mess! My cheeks would often have red spots on them as well, just like in the picture. It was a bit embarrassing to say the least. It was even itchy! Something had to change.
A few weeks ago Trim Healthy Naturals came on the scene! I figured I'd enjoying trying the new products for myself. They were all natural and I was trying to move more and more in that direction for myself and my family. I quit hair color over 5 years ago and was trying to use more natural things on my face, skin and for cleaners in my home as well. Sometimes all of these changes can be overwhelming so doing one or two new things at a time worked best for me.
My first experience with these new products was the Hippie Stick. I have to admit that I was SUPER skeptical. I was positive it wouldn't work for me. I'd tried a few natural deodorants by now and they were a huge disappointment. Many of you followed my goofy updates on Facebook and know how excited I was when it really, truly worked! I've used it about a month now and love it just a much as the first day (video link) I put it on. I am sold!
Next, I tried the Spunj and Orange Silk Hydrating Cream. I had no earthly idea that it would clear up my skin like it did. I'd neglected a daily regimen. I decided just to use the products once a day after my shower and to see how it worked. Again, I had no expectations. After ONE week I was shocked at how much better my face felt and looked. I posted about it on my Facebook page and Trim Healthy Naturals even shared my results. I was hooked! Here is that one week shot...
I still had a few red spots on my forehead and one of my cheek, but the difference was amazing! Not only was my skin feeling nice and looking better, but I was really enjoying my 2 minutes of pampering. I looked forward to that every morning and enjoyed my moment of peace at the Griffin Spa. (aka..the bathroom sink)
So, here I am at over two and a half to three weeks out. I was busy and became sick end of last week so I didn't have time to take a picture or post up an update. My face is clear....for real! Here is a picture today.
I just want to shout it out that the Trim Healthy Naturals products are amazing! I would encourage you to give them a try. Results vary for different ladies as we are all uniquely made. I think it would be a most excellent gift to give a teenage girl who needs to begin caring well for her skin. Putting her in a good habit that will last a lifetime is a great idea! (boys too!)
*I did these before/during/after shots make-up free. No concealer, foundation, etc was used. In my before shot I did have some eyeliner and a little mascara..nothing more. These results are not fudged in any way.

Jennifer, your skin looks great! I recently purchased them myself and look forward to trying the spunj and the orange cream. 😀 Do you have a “how to video”?

Also…Do I need to squeeze the sponj out completely before hanging it to dry?
hi, now it is 2017. Are you still using these products?
