Together Through the Storms is a fairly new book that’s been released by the Waltons. Jeff and Sarah have written from a deep place of pain and experience that will help so many couples going through suffering. Two in our household have Chronic Lyme Disease. It’s a daily battle of pain, exhaustion and often medical appointments. It’s easy to lose sight of the hope we have in Christ in the middle of that day to day pain. The Walton’s point us to our only Hope, Jesus.
I love that the chapters have reflection questions, things to pray about and a spot for notes to add thoughts of our own. I’ve read books on my own on suffering…many books, but not one that was geared towards my family and us as a couple. I’m thankful this book is here!
I know many of you who read my blog or visit my social media platforms deal with chronic illness or suffering of different kinds. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you know we have a Hope and steady Anchor as we face these storms. We are not alone! This book will encourage your heart as you walk this road. I want to give away a copy of Together Through the Storms to one of my followers.

This books looks really good. I’ve suffered from chronic pain for a very long time and some days it’s still so overwhelming. Thanks for the giveaway Jen!
I heard them on Revive Our Hearts and were really touched by there story. I would love to read there book.
I love Nehemiah 8:10 the joy of the Lord is your strength. And the Psalm about weeping endures for a night but joy comes in the morning.
Jennifer is such an encourager and shares her intimate life struggles, so if she recommends this book I’m sure its great and would love to read it and share it with others.
I would appreciate any help right now as me, my husband and my family go through a serious health trial.
There are so many good ones. Isaiah 41:10
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Romans 8:28 is one my soul clings to in times of suffering.
Isaiah 26:3 Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee because he trusteth in thee.
If we trust Him He will give us peace even through difficult times.
Isaiah 26:3
Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on the because he trusteth in thee.
If we trust Him He will give us peace even through difficult times.
2 Corinthians 4:16-17: so we do not lose heart; though our outer self is wasting away, our our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light, momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.”
My favorite verse of encouragement of late has been Isaiah 43:2….”When you pass through the waters I will be with you…”
Romans 8:31-39! Jesus intercedes for His people! How amazing is that?
Genesis 50:20
Like you, I have chronic Lyme along with several other chronic conditions. The season of suffering for our family has been long, but there is so much hope! One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 3:5-6. My husband and I have learned to trust, trust and then trust some more and He has proven faithful at every turn!
Matthew 28:20. Lo, I am with you alway! He never leaves us.
Job 36:15 is one I go to…
My favorite verse is Isaiah 26:3. I memorized it as a child during prayer meeting and God never fails bringing His word to mind when I am in need.
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(Hebrews 12:2)
This verse reminds me that every single battle is still temporary even if it lasts the rest of my earthly life. There is joy and perfect peace ahead…. and no more tears!
Isaiah 26:- thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.💕
The past few years have been extremely difficult. Chronic Lyme and all that goes along with that..grateful for your encouraging blog.
