After the worship set a video was played called "The Perfects".  It was the perfect, ideal family as they got along together on a Sunday morning.  Everyone was laughing as the video played!  I'm sure it's about the opposite of how most of make it to church on a Sunday morning.

Family Matters

~55% of all Christian marriages end in divorce!

~The busier you are the better you are is a lie!

What is family?  1.) It was God's design!

                         2.) It's relational!  It's all about our relationships.

                               a.) He wants our relationship with Him to be so strong that we can lift each other up.              

What do families teach us? 

                        1.) How to love and be loved.

                        2.) How to communicate.

                               a.) is it a yelling match?

                               b.) know each other...learn your spouse!

                        3.) How to care.

                        4.) How to give. Not just money but our time and talents.  Learn to serve each other!

~Create a family story!  Create fun memories and a family history that can be told to generations.

~Carve out Sacred Family Time! 

                  Sacred- set apart, dedicated, devoted to a singular purpose.                      

                       1.) Be organized.

                                 a.) family night

                                 b.)write it on the calendar!

                       2.) Spend time together!

                                examples- read a book, service projects, watch a  movie and discuss it, eat together!

~Spiritual Life

DADS, you need to lead your family!

                       1.)  Lead them in devotions.

                       2.) Lead them in worship.

                       3.) Pray with your family about everything!

                       4.) Show them who God is!

* If a dad is NOT leading it will lead to the destruction of his family.

Psalm 28:1-6

1 How happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in His ways!(instruction)

2 You will surely eat what your hands have worked for. You will be happy, and it will go well for you.(hard work)

3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house, your sons, like young olive trees around your table. (wife/kids)

4 In this very way the man who fears the Lord will be blessed.(first priority)

5 May the Lord bless you from Zion, so that you will see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life,

6 and will see your children’s children! Peace be with Israel.(blessings)

Be obedient to what God has for you and your family will be strengthened!
