Everything

I was honored to spend a some time with Jesus this morning before Titus woke up.  I wish it was more but, Titus was an early bird this morning.  God led me in His word to a wonderful chapter in the bible.  Colossians 3 was open in front of me.  I love the book of Colossians but a verse jumped off the page at me today.

Col. 3:17

"Everything you do or say should be done to obey Jesus your Lord.  And in all you do, give thanks to God the Father through Jesus."

I read this over and over again.  I love how God leads in His word and presses our heart with His truth.  I am thankful that His word guides and instructs us on how to live each day.  My focus each day needs to be obedience.  I love the second part of the verse as well.  Not only are we to be obedient but, we need to give thanks in ALL we do! 

I am thankful today for sunshine after a very wind-filled night.  I am thankful for my sweet boys and the snuggles they gave me this morning.  I am thankful that Jesus touches my heart and life in some way each day.
