1.The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and freedom to the prisoners;
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor, and the day of our God's vengeance; to comfort all who mourn,
3 to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the LORD, to glorify Him.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins; they will restore the former devastations; they will renew the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.
This is exactly what the prayer of my heart has been. I want God to use me to help others! I want to be a tool He can use to lead others to Him! I pray this passage will touch your heart and that you will work on applying it to your life like I am! I am excited to commit this passage to memory! Being surrendered totally to God is a lifelong journey! I hope you'll join me!
Think about how you can live out this passage. Make an effort today to come up with some ways to do it! God will use you if you are willing!
Walk it out!
Jennifer
I don’t think I’ve told you, Jen, but your blog is sooo pretty!
Great passage! Today I’m praying for some women who are in some tough marriage situations. May God renew these ruined cities!
Thanks for the pretty comment. I love green! I love this passage too. So much wisdom in a few verses!
i’ve never done a beth moore study either! the layout and format of them doesn’t really gel with my personality, and it seems more like work than anything… so i’ve just avoided them all together! i know they are packed with great truths, though… so i’ll learn vicariously through what you share here, k?! 🙂
I will share just for you Alece! 🙂
Jen – it is a good one isn’t it!?!
so far I love it! I can’t believe I am doing my first BM study!
