I've been eating Trim Healthy Mama foods for 5+ years now. There are days when I'd get bored eating the same ol' foods and then I'd need a plan of attack! Boredom can lead to eating off plan foods and that's not a good! What's a girl to do? Dig in.
Tip #1- My first suggestion is to get out your THM books and cookbooks. In the Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook there are over 350 recipes! I'd be shocked if you tried them all! I know a few folks who have, but not many. Take some time to sit down with some sticky tabs or a notebook and jot down some new ideas or recipes you missed. In the Trim Healthy Table there are over 300 recipes as well! Each book is unique in the foods they offer. That's over 650 recipes just within those two books! It would take quite some time to get through them all. If you're like me you'll see recipes you missed or haven't tried yet that look wonderful to add to your MUST Try list.
Tip #2- The Trim Healthy Mama membership website would be another fantastic resource! Menu planner, tons of recipes from THM, bloggers and members. THM vets the recipes so you are 100% sure they are on plan! You can watch some great videos on their website welcome page linked that will show you what the site looks like and all the cool options it offers. (scroll down on that Welcome page for the video)
Tip #3- My next suggestion would be to visit some trusted, tried-and-true blogs that share THM recipes. There are dozens and dozens of THM friendly blogs on the web. I won't even try to name them all! Try to visit the bloggers sites that share meal plans. That might trigger some ideas for you and give you a fresh perspective. Jen at Working at Homeschool has some good meal plans that she shares. Darcie has been sharing her meal plans for years on her website, Darcie's Dish. Briana often shares her menus as well on Briana Thomas. There are most likely many more if you do a quick Google search for THM menu plans.
Tip #4- It goes along with other ideas listed, but making a menu and meal plan can be really helpful. If you have a plan you can make sure you have ingredients available. Pick some new recipes to try once or twice a week for dinner to see if they are a hit with you and the fam. If you all like it or you can think of easy tweaks to make it so it would be more to your taste, make a note on your menu. This will help you know if you want to try it again in the near future!
Tip #5- Seasonal veggies and fruits. There are often fruits and veggies that come in and out of season in the produce department. Take a peak around when you are shopping to see what looks fresh. Grocery ads will often list them as well if you want to plan ahead.
Just some easy tips when you are tired of eating the same foods and feeling stuck in a rut. Try something new! Add some fresh herbs or different spices you know would compliment a dish you already love. You've got this!
