Today we start our first week of the A Home With Purpose Book Club! Yippee! We are reading the NEW Trim Healthy Mama Plan~ Keep it Simple, Keep it Sane. Many have asked if they can join in on the fun if they only have the original THM book and my answer has been yes. You can see the names of the chapters we are studying and most likely find the materials we are discussing in your original book to follow along. Will it be the same? No, but if you simply cannot buy the book at this time, you are still welcome to follow along. That being said, I would highly suggest and recommend the new book as it's much more condensed, to the point and does have a bit of new info. There is a Guy Chapter and some updates in the Fuel Cycle and Pregnancy/Nursing area.
Today is the beginning of our journey. The first step for many of you into a new lifestyle. For some of us, a refresher course. I can't even say how many of you mentioned to me that you needed a fresh jump-start and to re-boot! I hear you and I'm right there with you in more ways than I can say. So, let's join hands and hearts and open up our books. WAIT! Don't skip the Introduction! That is the best place to start and gives some great information.
Throughout this week as we read, you can come here and share what sticks out to you the most! Share those "Light Bulb Moments" that made something click for the first time for you. You can also share your thoughts in the A Home With Purpose-Mama Chat group on Facebook. Either place is fine, though there will be more back and forth participation with the others if you post in that Facebook group.

Book Club Schedule
This week we will be reading The Introduction, Chapter 1~ Getting to Know You and Chapter 2~ The Basics. I'll share some of my thoughts throughout the week on the A Home With Purpose- Mama Chat page, but also here on the following Monday. Each Monday, I'll remind you of what to read that week and share my thoughts on what we read from the past week. You feel free to share here or on Facebook. It's really up to you.
So, let's get reading! If you have any big questions, please ask. There are hundreds of girls on the Facebook page who've been on plan for quite some time now who would be happy to help, including me!
Here is a sheet you can print off as well called, Beginning Details. Take a few minutes to fill out the sheet today. Fill in your weight, measurements and take some time to write out your "why". Why are you doing this? What is your motivation to do the Trim Healthy Mama lifestyle? This is something to keep and look back on over the months and years to come.

Thank you for this book club. I’m one who will be refreshing and honing my THM skills. The new book and cookbook are wonderful and I’ve not put them down for the last week – well, you know, I actually pick them up often when I get a chance.
I’m eager to use the bookmark schedule, but I ran into a bit of a snag which I figured others might run into as well. The bookmark would be helpful if it was in a .pdf format. I see on this website it is in .pages format (which I can’t open) and on the facebook post from the creator it was in .docx format which I was eventually able to open. PDF is just so much easier for all computers and mobile devices to access. I just thought I’d share that request.
Thank you again for hosting this and I’m happy to see so many participants in the facebook group. It will be fun!

I have been trying this since March 1. I gave lost close to 20 lbs. I think portion size us my problem, LOL. Guess I missed that section so hoping thus “reading” will help me out.
