A nice salad with ranch dressing would work too! In an S setting you could use beef to make the meatballs as well. I ate mine with some Hip Trim Honey Mustard(page 412) and Jalapeno Poppers! (coming soon) You could also eat them with some spaghetti squash and pasta sauce. (or Dreamfield’s pasta) […]

Loaded Cauliflower Casserole (S) | A Home with Purpose!
[…] I know what you’re thinking. “Jen, there are already many other cauli casserole recipes out there!” I hear ya, but we each like things our own way when it comes to recipes. I had posted this recipe quite a while ago in an old post entitled, “Top 5 “S” Side Dishes”. I thought this gem of a casserole deserved it’s own post since so many of you go to that post to hunt it down. Plus, now you’ll have a printable recipe if you have a recipe binder for Trim Healthy Mama that you like to use. If you like this one, you’ll also love my Loaded Spaghetti Squash Casserole! […]

I’m drooling now! Going to make this in the crock pot tomorrow while I’m gone to home school co-op.
I am so excited to try this!!! Thank you! Did you know that if you slice horizontally into disks you get longer “noodles”? The things you learn on Pinterest!!! Thanks again for sharing!!
No, that’s so neat!!
Oh my jellybeans! Ms. Jennifer you knocked my socks off again. My kiddos said it was better than my cheesy potatoes.
No jellybeans, Kari!! hahaha…glad you all liked it!
How did u cook it in the crock pot along with the chicken?
I cooked my on low for about 8 hours. 🙂
This looks amazing !!!
sounds amazing, but by the looks of the heavy cream, sour cream and cream cheese, I’m hesitant to make it. Can you give me total fat? And saturated fat?
Thanks !
Sorry Cathy, I don’t know. On THM we don’t fat in our S meals. I mention in my post that this isn’t something to eat daily. You can sub Greek 0% for the sour cream if that helps. 🙂
This looks so wonderful. I will have someone help me making it tomorrow with an (S) stuffed chicken thigh wrapped in bacon. Do you think that is to much for a (S) meals even on Mother’s Day?
I cook my squash in the microwave all the time. I put it in whole for one minute (make it easier to cut) then cut it in half and scoop out the center seeds. Place on large plate cut side down and cook 4-5 minutes. Use hot pad to hold on to one of the halves and scoop out the squash in shreds. Then do the other half and use as above or however you want.
Spaghetti squash is supposed to be a healthy dish. Which is probably why I don’t like it. lol! One of the very few veggies I don’t care for.
Since it’s good for you, I keep buying it anyway in the hopes that I will find a recipe I like. I think this may just be “the one”. Likely because with all that cream, cheese and bacon it really isn’t such a healthy option anymore.
Grocery day is Wednesday…guess what will come home in my cart?
Thanks for the recipe!
I just made something similar the other day…so good! A nice replacement for the old cheesy potato casserole I have missed!
Made this tonight and everybody loved it. Thank you!
Scrumptious, made this tonight and we loved it! Added an egg and some sauteed onions, garlic, red pepper flakes and chopped kale from the garden for a one-dish meal with protein and veggie.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this healthy dish!!
🙂
Was this a side for the chicken breast? it looks like a meal to itself! Yum
That’s what we ate! 😉 Sounds good.
I loves me some spaghetti squash! Looking forward to trying this next month!
I’m new to your blog, and I just love it! Thanks for your great posts 🙂
Quick question – do I use raw bacon or pre-cooked bacon?
I used real bacon pieces which are cooked. 🙂
Just made so excited to eat it…thanks for the great recipes…KEEP THEM COMING!
OMG…This is FABULOUS!
This is a great replacement for macaroni and cheese!
I love your print friendly version of each of your recipes. I loose too many recipes from my fb page. thank you!
Glad to make it easy to save! 🙂
Looks so good! Do you think this meal would freeze well?
I’ve not tried it, but was told it does by another THM>
This is to die for!❤️❤️❤️❤️. Made with shredded chicken for a meal….delicious!!!!
I made this for supper tonight. It was delicious! My husband said this was reason to plant spaghetti squash in the garden. Thank you!
I’m gonna try this for our July 4th cookout potluck. Thanks for the idea. Looks delicious!
Is there a way to make this an “S” rather than a “heavy S”? I’m new to THM and would love to make this just an S. Thank you. This sounds delish. What else could I have with this to make it a complete meal?
Hi Roxann! Welcome to THM! I think this would be VERY tough to make a Deep S recipe. Deep S uses good fats like butter or coconut oil, but not the heavier cream cheese, cheese, etc. It would be pretty much using just the squash, butter and bacon in this recipe. It’s a nice indulgent treat for some meals. My favorite Deep S is green beans sauteed in butter with garlic and bacon pieces. YUM.
Wow that looks and sounds ridiculous! I have half a squash leftover from dinner tonight so I’m going to whip this up tomorrow!! 🙂
My family is on a Ketogenic diet, and this recipe is actually perfect for us. Thanks for sharing!
Do you precook the bacon? I’m making this tonight! Can’t wait!
Yes, I do. I sometimes just use real bacon bits. (not the fake ones)
Which do you typically use in this recipe… the sour cream or cream cheese?
I usually use cream cheese.
I made this recipe this week, and it was AMAZING!!! Probably my FAVORITE casserole!! Oh my ~ I cannot thank you enough for sharing it and for listing out how to make it, step by step. I took your advice and added ground beef to “up” the protein content. (It was actually taco meat–a great way to use up leftovers from the night before!) My husband even loved it!! I thought for sure I wouldn’t like it because I am SO used to spaghetti casseroles–and I was a bit nervous about using squash. But it was SCRUMPTIOUS!! I showed the kids how squash turns into spaghetti and they thought it was marvelous 🙂 THANK YOU SO MUCH, JENNIFER!! I appreciate you sharing this with us!! High fives!
Kind reviews make me happy!! I’m so glad you liked it! <3
Just made this with some diced ham instead of bacon and a big salad with a viniagrette, and it was a big winner on all fronts! Nice and quick, too, once your squash is cooked (we roasted ours), active prep can’t be more than ten minutes, perfect for a weeknight. We’ll be making it again for sure.
Ham!! Sounds like a wonderful combo!
Will try this meatless.
I will be having one of my wonderful children help me make this to go with a (S) stuffed (with avocado, tomato, onion) chicken thighs wrapped in bacon. Do you think that is to much (S) even for Mother’s Day? Fresh veggies on the side, also.
I hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day! I think it would be a yummy side to add.
I made this tonight and just wanted to say a big “THANK YOU!” It was absolutely amazing!
Love hearing that!
This is the best spaghetti squash recipe I have ever tried. My 11 yr old son ate it up. It made plenty for leftovers, yum! I didnt add the bacon since I didnt feel like making it…It didn’t need it The only thing I will do next time is use greek yogurt for extra protein and less calories. and less cheese as I didn’t think it really needed it but as is it is a 10.
Glad it was a hit!
Just made it tonight for a party (so I would know there was at least one low carb item there!). It was wonderful and many people commented on it being delicious. I effectively doubled the recipe since we cooked 3 haves and came up with over 8 cups spaghetti squash. I didn’t quite double the butter or cream cheese. Used a lot mroe cooked bacon though. Can’t wait to try it again with ham or chicken.
I made spaghetti squash for the first time last night and LOVED it! I started eating gluten free recently, and my gluten-eating BF was craving pasta I tried spaghetti squash. He tried a bit of mine, and liked it – so it looks like i’ll be searching out more spaghetti squash recipes!
