lettuceI had a bad eating day yesterday.  Ugh.  I ate one bad meal at lunch.  I made dumb choices.  Instead of pulling up my boot straps I went ahead and ate bad for dinner too.  I am upset with myself today and my body is telling me LOUD and CLEAR that it is NOT happy with me.   Here is where I have changed.  I will get back on the wagon and go at it hard today.  In the past I'd say forget it and just give up.  I'd chalk it up to another failed attempt at dieting...it's just too hard.  Not now.  I have too much to lose by quitting.  I have to push forward and obey what God has called me to do!    Besides going to God and asking for forgiveness for my disobedience, here are some verses I am leaning on today. Romans 13:14- " Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to it's lusts." Genesis 4:7- " If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up?  And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door, and it's desire is for you, but you must master it." Have you ever blown it?  What verse did you rely on to pick yourself  back up?

you’re giving yourself grace. i’m smiling here because i know (for me) how hard that is to do. it’s so much easier to extend grace to others than to extend it to myself.

Thanks Alece! I needed to hear that! I’m not so great at giving myself grace. I am a very forgiving and merciful person to others though..hmm.

One day’s battle lost doesn’t mean the war is over! You’re doing great Jen and I KNOW you can do this! I’m proud of you getting back “on the wagon” today!!
